Falernum was invented in Barbados in the nineteenth century, from a mixture of rum, fruit and local spices, to drink as a tonic, simply diluted on ice or to soften rums of the past. After years of experimentation Edoardo Nono and the team of Rita & Cocktails in Milan, together with Memfi Baracco from Compagnia dei Caraibi have created a Falernum able to reach a wide market without losing its primary handmade qualities. In addition to Edoardo’s expertise and passion, Caribbean white rum, demerara full proof, ginger, spices, bitter almonds, limes, lemons, and sugar contribute to its production. The Mr. Three & Bros Falernum is deep cloudy yellow in color. On the nose citrus fruit and the fragrant notes of bitter almonds are predominant. Versatile and chameleon-like in mixology – irreplaceable in Tikis, surprising with bitters and in combination with citrus distillations.
